My family makes me laugh...

Tonight I had the privilege to go out to dinner with my parents and Aunt and Uncle who are all from out of town. Aunt Elizabeth loves buffets so we found ourselves at Old Country Buffet. As we were eating the delightful moment arose to tell this visit's most embarrassing, yet funny stories. Usually if it's just me and my parents, dad's always got one he's eager to share about my mom. Not often does dad have a moment that mom gets to spill the beans on. Since Aunt Elizabeth doesn't come out this way often, it was only right that she should the the designated person that the embarrassing story was told about. Of course, the thing is with my mom and her sisters, when these sort of moments happen and they are always able to laugh about them. So here's Aunt Elizabeth's story.

She was out to eat in a sports bar with my Uncle. While she was eating she glanced up and noticed a man looking at her and smiling. Of course, it was flirty sort of smile and so she quickly broke eye contact, but snuck a couple more peeks at him and each time he was looking at her with that same grin. She was beginning to feel uncomfortable with this man looking at her, so she pokes my Uncle to bring his attention to the "creeper". He looks up and sees the man she's talking about and busts up laughing. She'd been looking at a life-size cardboard cut out! Good thing she didn't flirt back!

I love these moments in life where we can laugh at the silly life experiences that bring laughter and humor into the mix. I love my family!
