Happy weekend!

Just a quick note, if that's possible with me. I'm getting ready to head out of town. I've accumulated some paid time off and decided to collect some on them, so I took the day off and am going to visit my parents in Pima, AZ. It's good time to visit since it's Easter weekend. I've not been out to visit with them since the holidays. They have been very busy with getting ready with all the paperwork and doctors appointments in preparation for their church mission they hope to be on by the middle of the summer or so. They went to California to visit my brother and our extended family.

I'm just looking forward to heading out of town and enjoying the slower pace of life I force upon my parents when I go out to visit them. I did enjoy my evening last night. My friend Spring has come down from Utah to visit with friends and family and I was the lucky one to battle the airport hussle. I don't think I leave the same way any time I go down to pick up friends. We somehow ended up on a small expressway that lead to downtown Phoenix. We eventually got turned around and headed back to Mesa. We stopped by Jamba Juice and ordered a couple of yummy smoothies. I've been reduced to liquid foods for awhile due to my latest adjustment on my braces that has left me with no ability to grind and chew. I'm not sure how long that will last, but I'll loose weight on this silly baby food diet. Anyway, Spring was a good sport and joined me with my liquid diet. We drove through surface streets taking in the glorious orange blossom smell. We both agree that they really need to bottle that smell. It's so lovely! We just spent the evening talking and catching up on the small stuff in life. It was a pleasure to visit with her. By midnight I had her dropped off at her friend's home where she'd be staying for a night. I crawled into bed by 12:30am and was asleep soon after. I've discovered since this new braces adjustment I don't close my mouth like I normally do at night and so I wake up drooling. It's rather gross and I have no control over it! This had sure better be worth the money and all the weird life adjustments I'm going through for these braces!

Well, gotta go. It's off across the Apache indian reservation. Dad will be eagerly starting a massive fire in his smoke pit tonight to do and Easter turkey. This will the third time in a row that I've been out there and we've celebrated with turkey. Echo, their beloved dog will love it! I too will love it, though I need mine blended, not stirred. Happy Easter all!
